She has changed her name thrice since she has made her screen debut and even then she has not brushed into even the reflection of Success. Without any doubt this babe Priyanka Kothari has got to be the most confused starlet floating around in Indian Cinema. For the most part though, it will sink below the titanic with aplomb. Perhaps with a few cat calls here, a few whistles there in some dingy remote single screen theatre, BBB might just end up making some money. Then again, films like BBB too have takers. It pains to see, though, a decently good actor in such a ludicrous film.
Of the cast, Aftab is the only bearable face throughout the film. While Shweta Tiwari at least manages to garner interest for a fleeting second, Mallikas Shalu act is downright disgusting.

And to add salt to injury, the movie boasts of not one but two item songs. Silly gags pass for jokes, and over the top hamming passes for performance. Rest of the cast is running after or from one of these two characters and their associates in a tale that is meant to be a comedy of errors.īBB is built on a wafer thin plot that is mostly devoid of logic or reasoning. Starring an out-of-work-out-of-sight cast, BBB is a comedy, and like all comedy Hindi films these days, has an apology for a script.Īftab Shivdasani plays a local thief running from the police when he accidentally runs off with super villain Gulshan Grovers (yes, he still exists and thinks he is the Bad Man) diamonds. For someone wanting a decent entertainer, this is not recommended. Shweta Bharadwaj looks alluring in her item number.Bin Bulaye Baraati is the kind of film which works if expectations from it are below negative. Mallika Sherawat is good in her item number. Talented actors like Om Puri, Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav are wasted. In fact, his gay act caricaturist and offensive. Priyanka Kothari needs to seriously work on her acting skills. Gulshan Grover is fine, but his character lacks the cruelness required for a villain. Pranav Dhiwar's editing is tacky.Īftab Shivdasani acts well. Johny Lall's cinematography is unimpressive. The predictable climax is totally uninspiring.Īnand Raj Anand's music is passable. Its plot of zeroes turning heroes by saving the villagers from the bad guys is done to death in the past. As if the other jokes were not enough, you have Black Cobra's gay brother Sajjan Singh (Johny Lever), who makes for all the homophobic jokes. But it turns out to be a tedious watch and a test of your patience. With a plethora of actors who are known to tickle your funny bone, one would have at least expected a few laughs from BIN BULAYE BARAATI.

Since they enter the village in police attire, the villagers look up to them as saviors who can free them from Black Cobra's clutches. Together, they find themselves in a small village which is under the influence of Black Cobra. While on the run, they are joined by the trio of Murari (Rajpal Yadav), Hazari (Sanjay Mishra) and Chetta Singh (Vijay Raaz), who are also being chased by the police. PP also happens to be Shreya's mama, who is against her relationship with AD. Due to their carelessness, the bag lands up with AD (Aftab Shivdasani) and his girlfriend Shreya (Priyanka Kothari), who are running away from police inspector PP (Om Puri).

He gives the responsibility of selling off a bag full of jewels worth 50 crores to petite goons Gajraj (Mukesh Tiwari) and Ranjeet (Hemant Pandey). Gulshan Grover returns to his patented 'Bad Man' image as he plays the ferocious dacoit Durjan Singh aka Black Cobra. And having as many as three item numbers, it clearly aims to be a complete masala film. BIN BULAYE BARAATI boasts of having umpteen comedians, who have tickled our funny bones time and again.
